Jermeka Shantel Miguel was born on November 17th, 1989, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the parentage of the late Elience Miguel and Perida Parris. She graduated from Dillard High School in the year of 2008.

Jermeka had many enjoyments throughout her life. Some of her hobbies were listening to Jamaican music, watching her favorite tv shows, The Cosby Show, Martin, and anything show on BET. Her favorite foods include macaroni and cheese, pizza, and extra hot wings.

Jermeka was a very loving, kind, smart, and caring person. Despite her aliment, she never ceased the moment to tell her family just how much she loved and cared for them. She was a warrior that fought hard to live and be there for and with her family. If you were down, she would provide words of encouragement. Her most memorable statement of advice was, “Don’t you cry nor worry! God got you. He will make everything alright.” This beautiful soul believed the same words she spoke and so much more, even unto her heavenly transition on July 7th, 2022. Jermeka will always be remembered as a woman who loved all with her whole heart.

She was proceeded in death by the following persons: Grandparents: Bennie and Catherine Parris; Great-Grandparents: Joseph and Bertha Bryant; Aunts: Joyce Parris and Chris Parris; Great-Aunts and Uncles: Clinton Bryant Sr., Willie James Bryant, Johnnie Lee Bryant, Robert James Bryant, Ola Mae Blakely, Bobbie Jean Beasley, and Mae Will Broadax; Cousin: Charlene Parris.
